My Review

Just okay, not Dick’s best. The most interesting component is the parallel reality tension and whether or not the protagonist (or just the reader) is disoriented.

Read it bc Phil said parts of this book were a facsimile of a story from Acts, the biblical account which he’d never read. The real world bled into the literary was strong for Dick in this book, and as such it is a classic.

Mediocre character development. Felt more like one big medicinally-induced illusion, which is ironic because according to Phil it’s the only book he ever wrote sober.
